Hi, I'm Julie! I'm an elementary substitute teacher, photographer, and mom. When I'm not in a classroom, you can usually find me at home editing photos!
Here’s a bit about me…
I was born and raised in East LA. I currently live in the Highland Park area. My first language was Spanish. I have been drawing since I could remember. I have a two-year-old son and I take so many pictures of him!
Photography has been a major part of my life. My photography journey started in 2011 during high school, snapping shots at house parties, and quickly grew into something much bigger. I studied photography right after high school at the Art Institute of California–Hollywood. During my college years, I received several awards for my photojournalism. I earned a bachelor's from CSUN where I studied to become a visual journalist. Today, my photos—including travel, pet, and photojournalism—can be found on 500px, Getty Images, Shutterstock, and Adobe Stock.
Despite the practical showbiz advice to "never work with kids or animals," they’ve become my favorite subjects to photograph. They are hilarious and adorable. I'm easygoing and pretty patient, willing to wait for the perfect moments to shoot. I love to make everyday people feel special in my shoots-like celebrities! Everyone deserves to feel special from time-to-time and a great photo of themselves.
Meet the Coworkers!
