Julie Santiago is a visual journalist, travel photographer, and photo editor based in Los Angeles, California. A creative thinker with a strong foundation in journalism, she combines the power of words with the beauty of visual arts to craft compelling narratives that resonate with people across various platforms. With over 15 years of experience using Photoshop and other Adobe applications, she has developed a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of visual composition.
Her academic journey has been diverse, beginning at an art school, continuing at community college, and culminating at California State University Northridge. Santiago has earned a bachelor’s degree in Journalism. As a student at ELAC, she received several awards, including First Place News Photo from the Journalism Association of Community Colleges, as well as accolades for feature photography and newspaper layout design.
As a contributor to major stock photography platforms like Getty Images, Shutterstock, and Adobe Stock, she has explored a wide array of subjects, focusing on events, travel destinations, and influential figures, including politicians like Eric Garcetti, Gavin Newsom, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and Bob Archuleta. Through her lens, Santiago aims to share stories that inspire and inform, bridging the gap between visuals and narratives. A one-person communications department.
